I want to just make a gradient on a single layer. NOT the bg layer. but I keep getting the gradient to fill the whole image.
This is what I've done.
PS3, Win 7
create image with base bg layer.
add layer
draw layer
r click layer and rasterize
select gradient tool
put on selected layer and draw top to bottom
then the whole image is made a gradient, not just the one I selected and put the cross on and drew down.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Welcome to the forums photoshopntn. Try a foreground to transparent gradient? If you select the image of the gradient in the context sensitive menu it will bring up a list of alternative gradients. If you did choose a solid gradient (like black to white) you could always use a blend mode to knock out the white or the black accordingly. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |
