i'm using PS CS5 on a Mac in 64 bit. Filters_Render_Lighting Effects is not available in 64 bit mode. Has Adobe fixed? I understand that windows 7 does not have a problem with this filter.

From Deviant Art Forums via Google lighting effects
just follow these is instructions
- Close Photoshop if it is open
- Find the Photoshop application file located in the Photoshop CS5 folder
- Right click or control click on the application and choose "Get Info"
- Click the check-box "Open in 32-bit mode"
- Restart Photoshop
Basically no 64bit Photoshop lighting effects on the Mac, but you can do it in 32bit mode. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

Thank you for your quick reply. This fix works very well. Thank you. Another question:What do I loose when I work in 32 bit mode? Will other functions not work or will there be a decrease in image quality?
