|
|
Hi
I have a scanned image (see attached)
I'm first making a box in the layer that I want the fill in - then using the gradient tool inside the box
The fill is always too strong so I've set the opacity to around 33% but I still cant seem to get the effect I want
And am I right in using the eye dropper tool to try and match the colour from the scanned image

thanks again |

It depends, would be my answer. I would probably do it by eye for a pleasing result. If you are working to a specific colour I would input the values. Your scan is a bit of a shocker and I am a a loss to tell whether it is post-production or ante. Oh and as far as I can see, you should have a blank layer for your gradient and so need to use "a box" (selection?).
Not meant to beat up on you, feel welcome to clarify or tut in my general direction _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

No tuts this side I'm grateful for your input.
the scan is post production by that I mean this is what I'm trying to copy. Yes the quality of that scan isn't brill the one I have to work with is 1200 dpi so a little better quality
Am i right in using the gradent tool for this ?
My problem is I do I diagonal line from the bottom right corner over to the left the play with the opacity - the problem is the fill is still quite strong on the top right side when I want it to fade from the bottom right ?? |

How do I desaturate certain parts of the gradient fill as the fill is not symmetrical |
