hello,
I am wondering the best way to clean up the edges of this image. It is a hand drawn sketch that a friend of mine did for me. I scanned it an want to make some changes but I need it to have clean edges. You can still see some of the pencil marks from before she went over it with a sharpie. All I want to be left with is the sharpie part. I taught myself how to use PS so im not familiar with all the tools.

I used adobe illustrator to do a live trace on it, came out looking pretty cheap, you may be able to use it.
To obtain a working edit, I recommend tracing the drawing from scratch using the pen tool. Pen tool sucks if you don't know how to use it but its great once you do.
