|
|
We sell jewelry online and would like to show the size of the item we sell, all images are cropped and would like to show the size of the item by showing a ruler going across the top and along the side.
Is there a way in CS5 to edit images in bulk and add a ruler and save as a new image?
Here is what I like to do [/img]
I appreciate your inputs.
Thanx,

It can be done, by making a blank template with the rulers on it, then pasting each image in. But the success and speed of the project will depend entirely on the "standardness" of your images. Have you taken these photos identically? I mean, on a tripod, at exactly the same focal length every time?

The images come from a professionally done jewelry catalog and looks like all images are taken with a same camera setting.
I am new to CS5 so how could I do blank template with the rulers, when I save the image is it going save the template with it.

I would make a template. Make it blank, except for the rulers. Make it as big as the biggest piece of jewelery you have.
Then, choose File > Place and place a piece of jewelery into the template, and size it appropriately. Position it where you want it. Then use the crop tool to crop away the excess template, then flatten the layers, and save it as a new file. Then re-open the template file and repeat the process for each piece.
This would be an easy task for an experienced operator, but a quagmire for a newbie. I'm having real trouble trying to describe the process in a way that you will understand. I'm not doing a very good job, I'm sorry.
