hi

does anyone know why, when I use the lasso tool and make a selection it works, but when I increase the feather up to 50 I get a warning message box saying, "No pixels are more than 50% selected. The selection edges will not be visible."

regards
david.

Yes, that happens when the feather size you choose is larger than the actual size of your selection.

Feathering is for the birds. After you've made your lasso selection, press Q to hop into Quick Mask mode, and use Gaussian Blur to really accurately choose your feather, then press Q again to go back to RGB mode.
