Easy
1. Go to the Adjustment layer menu in your Layers palette. It's the little half-black-half-white-circle icon.
2. Choose "Gradient" (not "Gradient Map, that's different)
3. Choose a rainbow gradient, and alter the angle as required.
4. Once you've done that, your whole image will be covered with a rainbow. Now, play around with the blend modes of the layer. By default it will be set to "Normal". You'll probably find the "Color" mode is the best.
5. Reduce the opacity of that layer as required.
6. Go back to the half-black-half-white-circle icon and choose "Solid Color"
7. Choose black as your colour.
8. The layer mask on that layer will be white. Press Ctrl I to invert it to black, and hide the black colour on your image.
9. Press D to make sure you're painting with white.
10. Choose a very big soft brush and paint around the edges of the image to blacken.
That's a quick and dirty method which should give satisfactory results. |
