|

Hello all,
I'm following a tutorial and I'm stumped by this:
Create a new layer called ‘text shadows’. Option click on your text layer to select only the data on this layer, and then with your selection in place and your ‘textshadows’ layer selection create a series of black-transparent radial gradients covering parts of your text area:
I've got a text layer that has the fill down to o% and I've added a pattern with the blending mode. I can't figure out how to do this next step. I'm on a PC.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
a novice.....named jess...... |

OK ill take a punt...
You have a layer with text, called 'text layer'
You have a blank layer, called 'text shadows'
Option click the 'text layer' layer thumbnail. This should produce marching ants (marquee) around your text.
Now choose the 'text shadows' layer. Your marquee should still be visible.
Finally select the gradient tool, then click and drag anywhere on your canvas. Only the marquee should fill with gradient, the rest should remain transparent. |
