I've seen many cool photoshopped pics showing someone apparently holding a Star Wars lightsaber - glowing red or green usually. How can I create this effect?

Create a layer that's the size of the lightsaber and fill it with color.
Right click on the layer in the Layers tablet and go to Blending options.
Go to Inner glow, check the box open the properties of Inner Glow.
Choose the glow color and play with the elements sliders.
You may need to erase or mask out the square corners. |
