Long time lurker, first time poster.

I just upgraded to CS5 and while doing a photo merge i was finishing up with the project by doing a content-aware fill on some blank areas, and was told PS could not perform due to isufficient memory. I currently run Window 7 (32bit), and have 3g RAM. How much RAM do I need? I ran RAMBOOSTER and have 2G free and still I get this error. Any help, suggestions?

Check the Preferences settings for Performance. You can set the amount of available ram for Photoshop use and scratch discs.

Out of RAM errors running filters, 3D, Content Aware Scaling, Liquify
When you use the various features which are memory-intensive, such as Content Aware Scaling, 3D, Liquify, and filters such as the Distort filters, on a computer running 32-bit version of Photoshop, with low RAM, or low open hard-disk space, Photoshop responds slowly, not at all, or returns Out of Memory or Out of RAM errors. These features can require more than the recommended minimum amount of RAM and scratch disk space for Photoshop. If Photoshop responds slowly or returns out of memory errors when you use the these features, increase the memory used by Photoshop, or free additional space on the hard disk for scratch disk use. If performance is poor, use the 64-bit version of Photoshop CS5 and move the memory slider to 100%. If you are running other applications at the same time as Photoshop CS5, set the memory slider to less than 100%.
