I have been trying to make an abstract tree such as this using the pen tool, but I always end up with lots of jaggedness and pixelation. I want it to be as smooth as this picture. Is there a vector set that I can use to do this? Any help at all would be appreciated. Thank you so much.

There was a vector tutorial about this on PSDTuts+ site I believe, but since I can't find it all I can say is to use the pen tool to create the tree, mountains, and ground. Download some flower brushes and you can make this in no time.

Thanks. I've actually managed to create the background, hills, foreground, and swirls in the sky without many problems. I used the stroke path tool with blur to soften the edges just slightly on all of those. (I want it to be as crisp as possible, but I don't want the curves to be jagged) However, when I start trying to create the tree with the pen tool, it always seems to become too jagged and doesn't look as smooth as these images.

You can just add more anchors onto the lines produced by the Pen Tool to smoothen things up. Like in this picture:

I have to go now, I'll answer your questions after I come from football practice possible. Hopefully you'll find the answer right now though.

Thanks Jarod, but I've been doing that already. I'm not sure why, but when I create the line with the Pen Tool, then use stroke path, it keeps on ending up with slightly jagged curves. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and probably wouldn't let it bother me, had I not seen the images that I posted above, where the lines are clearly perfectly smooth. It's starting to drive me a little crazy. Big Grin
