Ok all, I am having a problem smoothing edges in photoshop. I am placing a screenshot of a football player with the background edited out, but whenever I place it the edges are blurry? How can I remove this?

By smoothing I assume you mean to sharpen the edges. What technique are you using to select? Are you placing it into an image with the same resolution?

A: I was using the magic wand to select the character, then i would place him on a bright green background and go around him with the eraser. Ya, not a great idea, but I am kinda new to photoshop. B: I was placing it onto a plain background, so I don't really know.

You did't say if you mean sharpen the edges or not.

There are many ways to select, the best way idepends on the image you are working with. Post the image in question, then we can help better.
