|
|
Basically how do I create the "face" look using the smoke?
I want to take a picture of my brother, then some how get it to look like that...how would I do that?
Do I have to get an outside picture with smoke and then use the liquify filter? Any other ideas?

Would you mind elaborating a little more on that? What brushes do I use? How do I use it?
How do I even start this picture?
Thanks. |

I provided a link for you above (don't know if you noticed) just click your name in my post. As for smoke brushes do a Google search there are loads of them. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

Ah! Thank you.
However a quick question...that tut shows how to do it with a skull image...can I get just a regular face?
Maybe use brushes?
I downloaded a 21 set pack of smoke brushes...but now what? How do I create the face? |

If you apply the same technique to a face it will turn out just fine, the technique won't change just the outcome. You may want to prepare your source image by darkening/highlighting certain parts of it. I noticed there seems to be a video of the tutorial if that would be easier to follow.

That's what I did!
I used my face....but when I did the "Glowing edges" effect my face turned all black and redish not like the white/smokey/transparent effect it had on the skull.
And yes I'm using the video....I would probably still be on stop 2 if there was no video hahaa.
When you talk about darkening and highlighting certain parts of the source image...what do you mean? I mean I know what darkening and highlighting it means...but what parts and for what purpose? |

When you have your image of the face and you add the glowing edges filter, you should then desaturate that layer to take away the colour. This will emulate the skulls treatment. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |
