Hello, Im new to the site and wanting to start using photoshop. We currently have Elements 5 and Im having a tough time learning how to use it. So I was wondering which photoshop does everyone recommend?? I know it will be tough to learn but I want a good one.

I'd recommend that you stick with Elements for a while. When you feel you've mastered it, then you may want to consider an upgrade to the full version.
Honestly though, you may never need more than Elements. Only if there is something you need to do and Elements can't handle it, do you need the full version. For a lot of people Elements is more than enough to meet their needs.
If you do decide to go the full route, each version of PS has added new features. CS5 being the newest, so obviously it has all the latest bells and whistles. If you want all the 3D and video capabilities too you'll need to buy the extended version. |
