I am new at photoshop have 7.0 on windows, I am creating an oval logo and when I save it as a jpeg a white square background is visible and I can not seem to figure out how to make it transparent so the only thing you will see is the oval logo itself. I am sure there has to be a very simple way to do this but I really only taught myself photoshop last week with the teach yourself visually book so any help at all on this is greatly appreciated :)

Gif and png file types support transparency, jpg does not.
