I'm using photoshop 7 and when ever I use the magnetic lasso on an image and have progressed a little with the selection, suddenly the image refreshes after every 30 seconds(i.e. turns out blank and then reappears, sometimes it even doesn't reappear) and the selection gets only around the little bit of the picture I've have selected so far. This keeps recurring and is preventing me from using the tool at all.
I'm using Vista home basic and I don't know why is this happening.Earlier when I used windows XP in the same laptop with loads of other programs installed, the problem never happened. So that draws out driver or graphics card or monitor settings issue. But now with vista and lesser number of programs installed or running in the background, this problem has popped up.Can anyone please help me fix this issue.I've got frustrated finding a solution for it and it is hampering my work Frown

Oh I found the solution! When I set the program compatibility mode of photoshop to 'Windows xp service pack 2' in vista, the issue was resolved.
