| Hi, I'm a commercial painting contractor and I use Photoshop CS4 to color digital pictures of properties to give my clients a preview of what their projects will look like when I am done. Usually I make a copy of the background apply a hue/saturation layer with the colorize option selected and mask out the areas I do not want painted. Then I slide the hue, saturation, and brightness sliders until I get to color I want (or they pick.) I do this just by eyeballing it. What I would like to be able to do is use a pallette to select a target color for the hue/saturation layer. For example I would download the color pallette from Sherwin Williams and then I can select a specific color to assign to the picture. Does anyone have an idea of how to do this? I'm self taught in Photoshop and love to learn new tricks. Hopefully I made my self clear as to what I am trying to do. |
