This is my first picture post. I was remaking the 7 UP logo. I've tried but there's a inner line that's makes the howl picture seem fake. I understand that I'm not as close to the logo as i think but the inner line is the only thing I'm unhappy with. I can't understand how they did it. With the F i copied the F and added a inner stroke the made 10 copies then lining up the inner stroke then erased the rest. For the AYE i made a selection of it then "Contract"ed it. Turned the selection in to a path then stroked the path.
Picture: 290 X 541p. Res: 72
Font: Bandwidth
I know the pixels should be bigger along with the res but i like to work over a photo the happen to be that exact size. Its for a friend who really likes 7Up and her name is faye.

i'm not sure what you need help with really, are you wanting to get the same effect as the 7up logo?

Thank you MartinW but that's not want i needed help with and I'm sorry for not being as clear as i should have been.
In this picture:
"A" is what i made.
"B" Is the Inner line I've made or better yet, the best i could get to "D"
"C" Is the logo and you can see the inner line i am trying to remake. Only I've the best i can get is "B"
"D" Is why I'm asking, i want to know a good way to complete that line.
I have also added some purple arrows to help you all see the line i want to remake. I'm open to any help.

Hey thanks a lot. To get the inner stroke you need to make a duplicate layer of your text and then go to Filter > Other > Maximum. From there you shrink the guts of the text. Then add stroke fx to the new layer. |

wow I'm new to the Maximum filter and that was the last thing i ever would have thought of. I keep trying to use the modify/ contract tool |
