Hi,

I work for a real estate company and im dealing with alot of pictures everyday. We have our logo which i use as a watermark on pictures, what i do is load up the logo, copy it then paste it into the pictures im working on (which then comes up as another layer) then i have to set the opacity on everyone manually. Is there anyway i can take our logo and set the opacity then copy the logo and paste it onto the pictures and have the desired opacity setting stay at what i set it at? ATM no matter what i do to the logo, when i paste it onto the pictures the opacity setting always defaults back to 100% and i have to manually set it again.

Yes, I would forget about setting the opacity of the logo first. When pasted, photoshop sees it as a brand new element at 100% opacity.

You can create an action to do what you need. The best way to set this action would be to have the logo placed in the exact same spot every time. However, if that doesn't work, you could create 2 separate actions. The first action would only paste the logo, the second would let you set the opacity and finish it.

Open an image, then open the logo. Select and copy the logo. Then begin recording a new action.

action 1: (if the logo goes in the same spot everytime)
1. paste the logo onto the image.
2. set the opacity on the layer to the desired amount.
3. flatten the image.

If you don't want to place the logo in the exact same spot, create 2 actions:

open the logo, select it, and copy. Next, open the image.
action 1:
1. paste the logo

Action 2:
1. Set desired opacity on the layer.
2. Flatten image.
