For years I used PS 5, and all the filter were handy. But now, with my new CS 4, all my favorite filters are gone. Do I have to BUY them independently now, or are they downloadable? How can I restore my work habits? Confused

Most likely those filters were in the PS5 plugins folder. If you uninstalled PS5 then they probably were deleted along with PS. Remember too, there is a big gap between PS5 and CS4. Some of those filters may not work on CS4.
