OK, I need to create a new logo featuring the word Knucklehead and I want it to have the same shape as the Lonsdale logo where it arcs up at the bottom and arcs down at the top. Pt 2 Can I create a shape and have a single word such as 'apple' conform to that shape (imagine shape is of an apple) so the word appears as an apple shape. Just an example. How hard can it be? I can't figure it out to save myself and I've used Photoshop for years. Cheers.

For your first question, I'd think you should try creating a path to follow the contours of the logo, then add type on the path.
For text in a shape, I used transform and then warp on rasterized text to do the apple.

Thanks man - managed to sort it out. In order to avoid blurring of warped text when stretching to conform to shape I did the following (1) Created text and then converted text to outlines. (2) Then I manipulated the text by dragging out anchor points to conform with shape that I wanted the text to form. (3) Once this was done I then selected the modified text and created a custom shape. I remember years ago in freehand being able to create the shape and pasting the text inside to conform with the shape - Photoshop doesn't seem to allow for this. It's worked perfectly though and was actually really easy in the end.[/img]
