I am trying to get my photoshop text w/o a background into dreamweaver but when I select transparent background in photoshop and place it as an image in dreamweaver CS4 it still comes in with a white background. Any ideas? Thanks

Make sure the text is highlighted in Photoshop and then hold down CTRL+C to copy it to the clipboard, open up the document in Dreamweaver then with the text tool selected in Dreamweaver, hold down CTRL+V to paste it.

How do I get the Text tool in dreamweaver CS4? But when it displays on a website I want the text as an image since the font is a funky font. I tried copy and paste and it still has the white background. Thanks

I don't know, but I presume that you need to save the file as a transparent GIF or PNG.

There is no text tool per se in Dreamweaver, its an HTML editor, although you can use it in 'Designer' mode rather than 'Coding' if you are code averse.

Thirdly, you could always embed the font, meaning a light filesize, although I think getting the image transparent in the first place would be preferable.

Welcome to the forum xxnonamexx (although ironically your name is an oxymoron)

Thanks for the welcome. If photoshop cannot allow me to do this do you know if it's possible in illustrator? There has to be a way to eliminate a white background behind everything.
