i just started using cs4 and have no idea how to erase a filter as for it wont let me.

everytime i add a new exposure or any filter like that it wont let me erase the parts i want 2.

when i add a gradient map it makes me rasterize the layer before i can erase it. but it wont even let me rasterize any other filters.

is there a trick to erasing inside added filters or am i just missing something completely lol thanx
