I'm sure this is such an odd question and I haven't been able to find an answer anywhere else. Hope someone can help me. :)

Firstly, what I'm trying to do; create and HDR image the lazy, easy way. I watched a tutorial on how to make an HDR image (without merging three different photos with different exposure levels). One of the first steps is to set the black point and white point in the image.

My problem is when I click on the eyedropper tool (the one on the left is the black) and move my mouse to the image it's just a hand, no eyedropper. I clicked and fussed, nothing. So I minimized that window and went to look for answers on the internet. Frusterated I open the window up and there it is. It did the same when I tried to use the brush tool. It's almost like a delay, a long delay, sometimes more then 5 minutes.

Does anyone have any idea what this is?

Thanks in advance.

The space bar is a shortcut for the hand tool. Make sure it isn't stuck, or that you are leaning on it.
