|
|
I saw a tutorial recently in one of the magazines but I didn't pay much attention to it, now I need it. :p
They were showing how to stretch the edges of a photo, while defining a "safe" zone, basically a critical area of the photo that would NOT get distorted at all during the stretch. Does anyone (in a nutshell) know this procedure? I've never seen a filter/feature that allows definition of a safe zone in CS4.
Thanks.

Safe zones usually refer to video editing. Where anything outside of the safe zone may not be visible on a TV.

I think you might mean content aware scaling?
It was introduced in CS4.
I havent used this feature yet, so cant advise you on it, but a search on google will give you some great tutorials on its use.

If it is content aware scaling you're talking about the link above is a good tut, especially the bit about using an alpha mask to protect certain areas whilst you're scaling the content.
