Hi,

I've taken a picture of someone and a shadow of my head was on a subjects arm (shooting at sunset). How can I match the shadowed skin to the color of the rest of the arm?

Thank you.

Two ways to solve your problem :

-Using the Cloning Stamp
-Color correct the shadow area

The best way to do anything in PS is usually dependent on the image itself. You should post the image to get the best advice.

First of all I lightened the picture, seemed too dark on my monitor.

As an example: I selected the shaded area on the right leg. Then used Contrast/Brightness to get it close to the same color. On a separate layer I used a clone brush to blend in the transition lines. On that same layer I used a very soft brush at low opacity and painted as necessary to make it all blend together.
