The other day, my lasso tool started acting strange. It would automatically select things whenever it was in line of my starting point. I fail at decribing things, but whatever. So I started messing around with the settings and now it's messed up even more. It just shows up the line, and I can't connect points. It's just like...once again, I fail at describing things. So I was wondering. How do I get it to go back to normal?! I can't get rid of the background any other way because I also fail at using the eraser, extract tool, and quick selection. Plese help meeee. Frown

2 things to try.

1) With the lasso tool selected, go to the top left corner of the screen and see a box with the lasso tool icon, and a drop down arrow, click the arrow once, then you will need to click on the second drop down arrow, and go to "Reset Tool"

2) Run a search on your hard drive for "Adobe Photoshop CS3 Prefs.psp" and trash this file, this will set everything back to default

Good luck
