Hello all,

I have a picture of the Vietnam Veterans memorial and I would like to highlight three names. I want to make a video for my father and I would like each name to fade-in to a brighter color. Is this possible?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Should be possible. Would have to see an example to give you a better idea of which way to go, though. The folks here are full of ideas. Mostly good. LOL. If you can post a pic, it would help greatly. (imageshack.us, tinypic.com wherever)

Regards,
Dave

I'm not sure people understand just how powerful Image Manipulation can be.
If it's an image, it's possible. End of story.

not sure if this will help but what you could do it highlight each name on separate images with different shades and make a.gif or .mov with different transitions

to animate in photoshop, you need a layer for every frame, and a frame for every layer,

on each layer will be your text, along with a hi light set to a different opacity, say 1 layer at 100%, a layer at 75% 1 at 50%, 25% and finally zero.

then open the animation panel, under "Window/Animation"

and click on the "add new frame" icon to add frames for each layer, give each frame a delay, and the secret to your success, is to select each frame and only leave the layers you want to see on that frame visable, turn all the rest off,

then choose the next frame and turn off all unwanted layers for that frame, when done play your animation.

when satisfied, go to "File/Export/Render Video
