Hello everyone,
I've just bought my first "full blown" Photoshop (CS3, in deference to my aging PC!). It's the best experience I've had since abandoning my darkroom in which I used to spend long hours trying to get that "just right" look in colour and monochrome prints (and never got the same thing twice!). Although a photographer for more than 50 years, I have a great deal to learn about digital post-processing and hope I shall make some friends around here! Meanwhile it's awesome that I can produce A3+ prints from Nikon D300/HP B9180 printer that are more than the equal of any 16X12 I could get from my Bronica medium format camera and hours of sweaty darkroom work.
My most admired photographer (by far) is Ansel Adams. I wonder what he'd have made of all this? I've a sneaky suspicion he'd have loved it and would have become the arch-guru of Photoshop!
Regards/Cofion

Hey John,
Good to have you around!
I'm sure we'll all learn something from your experience - 50 years! That's a whole lot of experience!
In any event, welcome to the Forums!! _________________ Matt
