i think that they set a path around what they needed to color, washed it out, and then colored it. but i don't know =] |

The van is most likely rendered in 3D. It may not have had gone through Photoshop altogether. In a rendering such as 3DS or MAYA, colorizing such as that isn't extremely hard to achieve. |

This looks like a simple Illustrator job. Just trace the object with the pen tool, and use your patience. |
