The Setup:
You have all seen an atlas that has a Terrain Mapkey such as
Shade -100 to -500 feet
Shade - 0 to -100 feet
Shade - 1 to 500 feet
Shade - 500 to 1000 feet
Shade - 1000 to 1500 feet
Where "Shade"s are differing shades of blues for water, or green's (lowlands plains), browns (hills, deserts) and reds (mountains)
The Quandry:
I have a few scanned picture of a continent region that I would like to convert to a flash swf. I would like to take each "shade" and convert it to a single colour.
Being a scanned image, each "Shade" consists of more than just its average colour. It incorporates many colours.
Is there an easy way to convert this, WITHOUT using the lasso and mind-numbingly select each area and filling it with the proposed colour?
In essence, I'd like to find a way of assigning an "average" colour to a "specific" colour.
Any help in this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |
