How can I make the quality of the image better? everytime i draw something, then zoom in, it becomes extremely pixelated. does that mean i have to draw on a bigger canvas? is there no way to make it high quality without drawing on a bigger canvas?

Well, Photoshop is a pixel/raster based program. Everything is pixelated close up.

You can make sure your PS document resolution is 300 dpi, or higher. That will help. But if you're looking for sharp, clean lines, vector based Illustrator is your program.

Good luck.
