I take a lot of underwater photos. The silt in the water creates backscatter (looks like snow) that I have tried to minimize using the spot healing tool, but wonder if anyone has an easier way.
Thanks.

Hey wreckdiver,
Have you got any examples you could post? We be good to see exactly what you mean.
Regards

Yes, here's an example of smaller backscatter - I try to take the photo to minimize it, but sometimes there's one with lots of it, but I want to save the photo.
Thanks!

2 things come immediately to mind in fixing this.
1. Using Quick Mask
2. Using the Magnetic Lasso
Either of these should allow you to "grab" all of the backscatter in a rather quick amount of time and then "fill" it with on of the background colors already there ... which is apparently a dark "black" blue.
If you need more help with this, let me know

Yes, that sure beats trying to click on each piece of silt! Some photos that have this have more detail in the background, so I think I was trying to go spot by spot when I didn't need to.
Thanks.
