|
|
I am trying to create a mask using the gradient tool. When I drag the tool from the top down all is fine, my problem comes when I drag from the side in......PS cancels my first gradient. I am trying to create a gradient box on this layer but I can only do it on one side........any help would be appreciated. I know this can be done, I just dont know what Im doing wrong. Im using CS 3 on a windows based computer.

Try adding your second gradient to a new layer when you bring it in from the side.
You could add a "Gradient Map". Try also adding a gradient "FX" to the working layer. There are tons of tuts about using gradients.
Good Luck!

You can also set your gradient to Foreground to Transparent. (2nd from left)
That should eliminate the gradients from canceling each other out.
Good luck.
