In blending options, pattern overlay, can I use multiple patterns, each of different scaling? Then I could create a more complex pattern out of various patterns, each corresponding to various levels of detail.

I know I can hack this by copying the current layer, and applying a different pattern on the copied layer, and making it less opaque.

Is there a way to do with without this hack?

Rotating the pattern would be nice, too.
