I am a photoshop noob and need help with changing hair color.
I have searched endlessly on how to do it, and I know the basics, but it doesn't work right on the photo I need to edit.

If you are good in photoshop, could you either message me or something so I can send you the photo I need done and what I want done to it?
(I don't want to post it on the public board, 'cause I don't want it to spread around the internet. Odds are it won't, but you never know.)

Keep in mind, the photo I want done is NOT for my personal use.
The original owner of the photo (Who I know personally) asked me to edit her hair, since I own photoshop. I tried and tried to make it look right, I spent 5+ hours, on such a simple task, but it proves insanely difficult for me to do.

So if you could get it done as fast as possible, that would be great. ^_^

If you could post the photo it would be easier to help you. Although some things to keep in mind:

If the photo is low res then it generally won't look as good. Also going from dark to light is harder than going from light to dark since desaturation of black returns black so coloring it back in is harder. Generally, you should cut out the hair as best as possible. You may need to desaturate it but give it its own layer and play around with the hue/saturation/contrast/brightness until you're satisfied.

Yes, please post the photo. I will do it, and post a tutorial on how I did it.
