I am not seeing any writing or drawing when using brushes. The cursor moves around the page, but doesn't leave a mark. |

Might be a stupid question, but have you selected a color other than white?

Yes, I have tried a number of colours. Neither can I get any of the 'fancy' brushes to work, such as Hearts, Flowers or Paisley. I am getting very confused about the different icons for brushes. I have read through innumerable tutorials, but none seem to address this problem. |
