Hi there,

I have a picture with curtains in it, that I'd like to change the pattern on. I have a pattern jpg. that I like, can anyone give me the steps that I'd need to take to make the curtains look like they actually have this pattern on them?
Thank you! I have Photoshop CS, Mac OSX

Yes! And it's super easy to do!

Make a new layer.....copy your pattern and paste ontop of the new layer over the curtains...size it accordingly. Click layer at the top of your tool bar...then add layer mask...then hide all....
Now grab a soft round paint brush sized according to your needs....adjust the opacity as needed and paint your new pattern onto your curtains. Your curtains now are patterned. You may have to make more than one layer and change the blening modes til you get the right look....but this is the simpliest way to accomplish this.

Good luck!
