I am useing CS2 and have created 6 layers but I can't get rid of the grey and white squared background in each layer.
How can I hide / delete this ? |

You could fill a layer with white, or whatever color, and drag it to the bottom. |

Hi there,
The grey and white pattern represents transparancy. It just means that you can see through that part of the layer. You can follow CombiBob's advice to rid your overall document of transparent pixels (they will still exist on each individual layer but they'll simply allow you to see through to a white background.
You could also try to show only the active areas of each layer by clicking the wing menu inside the palette and choosing Palette Options. Then make sure Thumbnail Content is set to Layer Bounds.
Also, not sure if you know this but the colour of the grey and white pattern can be changed inside Preferences.
Hope that helps _________________ Matt
