Hi there,

I've pretty much just started using Photoshop heavily and I am learning as part of my college photography course, however, I came across a weird little thing that kinda bugged me as I really wanted to do it!

I applied the Image Adjustment 'Threshold' to a jpeg photograph at level 67. After that, I decided to try and add a Photo Filter. I chose Sepia, set the density at 100%, and ticked the 'Preserve Luminosity' box. However, whilst I get a preview of what the image would look like (and it is what I like and want!) after clicking OK it seems to spend a couple of seconds applying the filter after which it simply stays unchanged!?

It seems to do this with all the photo filters, and also regardless of what density I choose. However, this problem does not occur when I uncheck the 'Preserve Luminosity' box, and Photoshop completes the adding of the photo filter.

Is there a way around this, am I doing something wrong, or am I not allowed to do that?!

Thanks very much,
Rory.
