Hi there,
So you have 500 layers and want to add the same filter to each one? Have you tried creating an action?

Well an action is a prerecorded sequence of commands. Do something once, and then play the action to do it again. It's a little like a macro might work inside Microsoft Office.
OK here goes,
Open up the actions palette.
Hit the record button at the bottom.
Make sure you're starting at a consistant place (so it works on other files), so you could always begin at the bottom of the stack for example.
Now add the filter you want to use.
Now move up a layer by pressing ALT + Right Bracket key.
Hit CTRL F to add the same filter again.
For simplicity, do this 10 times and then stop the action from playing by pressing the stop button at the bottom of the Actions Palette.
Now click on the next layer and run the action (by pressing play in the Actions Palette.
Press play as many times as necessary.
