I want to make a .gif file like the attachment... I really don't know where to start though. I know how to make a movie file into a .gif file, but not edit it like the way it is below.

Can anybody make/direct me to a step-by-step tutorial on how to do this?

Thanks!

You basically load it into Photoshop or Imageready, and then open up the animatio palette.

Once it's open, you'll need to work on each frame individually.

Dang. I don't think I'll make one for a while, still far above my level.

My advice with animation is to start off by building something extremely simple, even if it's a line moving, and you only have 2 frames. Once you can do that, I'm sure you'll progress fairly quickly.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll see if I can point you to a few tutorials!
