I have been using computers for over 20 years and have always persevered with learning software...but.......
Attempt 1000+
Arrrrrgggghhhhhhhh [in a high pitched girlie voice]...
All I want to do is a vertical gradient fill and draw over the top......It's very easy in PS - why are there so many barriers for doing the simplest things in illustrator - It's so frustrating........Right, sit down, deep breathe and relax......
... load up Illustrator and then start again.....Arrrrrgggghhhhhhhh [in a high pitched girlie voice]................ |

..Got it...actually it's pretty damn awesome..My hat is truly eaten......
Now, to go big.....
Matt, you were right. It's really worth learning it as once you get to grips with it rocks.
Sadly only a few days left on the trail but at least I know I can do it.
Gradient meshes........v.cool and versatile . |

Glad things worked out for you
It seems to be one of those apps that has a steep learning curve right at the beginning. I can understand all of your frustrations, we've all been there _________________ Matt
