However, when i get to step 9 where it says ctrl+click to select the layer and then use the gradient tool, whenever I ctrl+click the layer and use the gradient tool, it puts a gradient on the background, my text never gets selected with one of those borders around it that usually means somethings selected, the dotted line borders...i've been trying for about a half hour and i'm pretty frustrated because all I want to do is apply a gradient to text, not the box, not the background, just the text..any ideas?
could you by any chance show me a pic of where this would be located? Because if you're talking about the toolbox on the right that has each layer in it, (background, reflection, regular text), then I have tried ctrl+clicking that as well
