Hey guys,
Got a Question for you,
I have been trying to get a nice gold style for some time now, and finally created one that I like using a few different styles togeather.
With that being said What I did was break apart the FX into Multiple Layers, and Create the Effect that I wanted.

Now that I have the effect that I want, I want to put them back into the FX section on my text, so I can create a style of the new style I created, and Merge them back with the Text.

The problem I am having is that I like the look I have right now, and would like it to become a new style, so that if I change the text or font, the rest of the effects will change accordingly. Right now The text Changes but the shadow doesn`t, inner glow doesn`t ect. so the resulr is a ghost image with the newly changed font over top but the shadowing effects underneith remaining in the old font.

Hopefullu that makes sense,
Any Help is greatly Apreciated,
Thanks,

Can't you drag say, the drop shadow, from one layers effects into the one you want? Or Opt+drag the ones you want to dupe?

If you made all the effects using the effect palettes, you should be able to mix and match.

On the other hand, if you made some with feathered selections, you'll have to make them again to your new type.

No unfortunately I can`t.
I Tried opening up the FX drop down window on the text and tried dragging one of the Effects layers back into the FX sub group of the text and it won`t let me, probably now because its considered a layer.
Again any help is greatly apreciated,
Thanks,

combiBob,
My Bad you can put the effects under the text layer, but what you have to do is to set the opacity to 0% so you don`t see the text Layer,
Unforuntelty, when you change the text or the font the only thing that changes is still the actual text layer itself (blue text layer), nothing underneith it.
Again any advice is greatly apreciated,
Thanks,
