hey guys, could any one help me please. I been trying to get the outline as in the above image, but i just cant get it right. I tried adding a Stroke, but every time i get smooth edges, instead of getting them like the above image. Is there a way how to get the outline around the numbers to look exactly the same?

I'm using photoshop cs3 so I'm not sure if your version supports this but if you go under the layers tab and doubleclick on the layer (or right click -->blending options) you should see a bunch of options on the left. Use outer glow, set the range to 0 and adjust the spread and size according to your needs. |

Actually, "stroke" (the bottom-most option), is perfect forg etting asolid outline, whereas either "Outer Glow" or "Drop Shadow" is what you need for getting soft, blended look.

I'm on CS2. I can't say for sure whether that still work in CS3.

If all the great tips above don't work or you want to try something different, just control-click the layer's icon to select it, click select > expand and then expand by a few pixels. Create a new layer and then fill with whatever color you want.
This doesn't give as good a result as stroke or OG, but it's a method nonetheless. |

still get the same result. I keep on getting smooth edges around the numbers and i want them to be rough. I will keep on looking for a way. |
