I've only ever used the original iphone in the apple shop and I was quite impressed.
They also seem to have addressed the 2 most important aspects of the previous one (from what I've read on the net, not through experience). The cost is always important to me, and I felt the prince of the original one was a little stiff (especially in the UK). I was kinda expecting the new one to be quicker, that's the way things work these days.
Probably give it a miss, but I may pop in the local Apple store to see it in person!
