|
|
Hello, I'm new to these forums but I thought I'd see if anyone has had a similar problem or if maybe there was a solution.
I'm using CS3 and here's what's happening in Photoshop
• I slice an image up
• Go to 'Save for Web'
• Choose a format - lets say jpeg
• Then save it out
So far so good, but this is when it gets strange - when I go to check the format of the saved images they are mixed jpeg, gif, and png images - Photoshop should export/save all the images in the format I specify but it's not.
Anyone have a similar problem or a possible solution? I already went into preferences and nothing there would make this happen.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. |

Hey Jinxes,
Welcome to the forums!
Each of the image slices can be optimized individually inside 'save for web'. You just click on the slice and change it's compression settings. I'm not sure why yours are different by default though!
Hope this helps _________________ Matt

Thanks for the reply.
Apparently, for me at least, Photoshop will choose which ever format it feels best for your image if you're saving optimized. I switched the view back to 'Standard' while in the 'Save for Web' dialogue box and it saved them all in the format I wanted.
Guess it's just a quark in PSD.
Thanks again. _________________ Beginnings are scary, endings are usually sad, but it's the middle that counts the most. Try to remember that when you find yourself at a new beginning. |
