hello, i just started out with whole photoshop and i havent figured out still my problem. Im trying to make starfield with Greg Martin tutorial http://gallery.artofgregmartin.com/tuts_arts/making_a_star_field.html
but when i add the noise it just doesnt look like that. I added exactly the same amount, 10%, monochromatic and gaussian, but i dont get for example any " brighter stars ", they all look nearly like same. some only little less brighter, you cant see even diffirence when you look the picture with 100% size. and when you go closer, like in 300x300 px picture, watch it 150% sized and you can see the pixels too. i think they shouldnt show up so big already with that size. I put my resolution to max always too when im making new picture, tried with 8, 16 and 32 bit rbg colors too. What am i doing wrong?

It looks like the brighter stars are created after the initial Noise is added. If you're working with a high resolution file, they will not be noticeable until you apply the noise, duplicate the layer, run the Levels and Brightness/Contrast adjustments and then size the layer back down to the original size. When shrinking the layer back down, don't shrink it all the way, leave it a bit larger than the Small Stars layer.
That's my take on it anyway. Good luck!
