For some reason I cannot get the part in step 3, to close where you see the blue line in the left pic. I can get the ends to join together (close) like he says, but that outside edge of the ribbon where the blue line is, just wont join. It always makes me create a new "path" instead.
Anyone know how to achieve this?

I have photoshop and illustrator but would like to achieve this in photoshop. I've done 99% of this correct but cannot seem to join that particular kind of end with the rest of the paths. |
